Reblossom was founded in 2022 by Dr. Silvia Kurtovic and Dr. Raman Mahabir, two passionate reconstructive surgeons dedicated to restoring confidence in breast cancer survivors. With a shared vision of providing access to breast reconstruction for under- and uninsured patients in Southern Arizona, they empower women to heal, thrive, and reclaim their bodies.
Dr. Silvia Kurtovic
Silvia Kurtovic, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a leader in both cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. She is one of the few female plastic surgeons in Arizona who is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. With specialized training in cosmetic surgery and microsurgical breast reconstruction, Dr. Kurtovic is dedicated to achieving natural, beautiful results for her patients.
Educational Background
Dr. Kurtovic grew up in Southern California and graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in physiological sciences. She earned her medical degree in New York before starting a decade of intensive post-graduate surgical training. She completed a general surgery residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she developed a passion for the artistry of plastic surgery. She further specialized in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Duke University and completed two additional fellowships in microsurgery and cosmetic surgery in Canada.

Dr. Raman Mahabir
Raman Mahabir, MD, FRCSC, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon renowned for his expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has also held numerous prestigious positions, including Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic.
Educational Background
Originally from Canada, Dr. Mahabir completed his medical degree and a master’s degree with a focus on postoperative pain control at the University of British Columbia. He then pursued a five-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Calgary, where he honed his expertise in complex reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. To further refine his skills, he completed specialized fellowships in aesthetic surgery, breast surgery, and microsurgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, ensuring he provides the highest level of care.
