Our mission is to provide uninsured and underinsured women in Southern Arizona with access to life-changing breast reconstruction and holistic support. By removing financial barriers and fostering a community of strength, we help women reclaim their confidence and move forward with hope.
Bridging the Gap in Care
Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in their lifetime, yet access to reconstruction remains a significant challenge. While insurance providers are legally required to cover reconstruction, gaps in coverage and high out-of-pocket expenses leave many women without options. This is especially true in Arizona, where 13% of women aged 19-64 are uninsured.
Since 2022, Reblossom has provided free breast reconstruction surgery for 9 uninsured women in Southern Arizona, giving them a chance to heal and rebuild after breast cancer.
A Commitment to Giving 100%
Reblossom is built on generosity. 100% of all donations go directly toward charity-related activities, ensuring every dollar makes a meaningful impact. Our highly skilled surgeons donate their time and expertise pro bono, performing reconstructive surgeries at no cost to patients. Additionally, our board of directors volunteers their time, allowing us to operate efficiently and maximize the impact of our work.
Beyond Surgery: Healing the Whole Woman
We know that healing doesn’t stop at surgery. Breast cancer survivors often experience emotional and psychological challenges long after treatment ends. That’s why we provide healing retreats and special events where women can connect, share their experiences, and find strength in sisterhood. These gatherings offer survivors a chance to rediscover their confidence, build lasting friendships, and celebrate their resilience.

Reblossom was founded in 2022 by Dr. Raman Mahabir and Dr. Silvia Kurtovic, two dedicated surgeons with a vision to make breast reconstruction accessible to all women, regardless of financial circumstances. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to reshaping lives, restoring dignity, and ensuring that no woman faces breast cancer reconstruction alone.
